L1: Strange Doings (Erekose13 Judging)

Ximix will hold his action (if he can continue to hold his Turn Attempt rolled earlier?) and charge with the group towards the trio of soon to be dead-again enemies.

eyes wide at the shattering blow that was just dealt to the skeleton in front of him manon puts away his dagger and draws out his sleek crossbow. "lets see how this works" he mumbles to himself. once in range of the skeletons he will fire at the one on the left.

With the threat still ahead of them, Manon, Ximix, and Garrit continue their pace towards the three skeletons at the far end of the clearing. Razin becomes aware of the three as the skeletons pass through a bright patch of moonlight in the clearing, that and that all his friends have continued running. Garrit notices Razin running to catch up. It takes only a minute or so before the two groups of combattants get close enough to engage.

Garrit charges forward, he'll be in range to charge one of the skeletons next round.

"In the name of the Arcane I sever your coil of undeath from this plane!" yells Ximix as he comes close enough to channel the power of his god.

All three skeletons stop dead in their tracks and take off running in the opposite direction.

Manon's crossbow shot hits but is not enough to wound a skeleton as it ricochets off one's forehead.

Razin catches up to the rest just as the skeletons start to move in the opposite direction.

Ximix watches the skeletons' abrupt retreat and looks at the miniature sword in his hand and then up into the deep dark night. A strange look steals over his face as he gazes upwards, just for a moment, then takes off running again, after the skeletons.

"So, what exactly just happened?" Razin will ask as he catches up to the group.

"i think i scared them with my crossbow!" manon shouts in reply
"AFTER THEM"

"Heh, right Manon..." Razin will chuckle as he takes off after one of the skeletons.

Chuckling under his breath, Ximix continues to pour on the speed, matching pace with the others in an attempt to overtake the fleeing skeletons. He had seen the effects of calling upon his god's name before, yet it was always gratifying when his faith was rewarded... now if he could just 'catch' these undead he could end this battle.


But where would that leave them?
"Wait!" The priest yells urgently. "I am going to hang back a ways, I'll explain later. See if you can follow them to a lair of some kind... we need to know who or what is behind this!"

Ximix follows his own words, drawing up short, panting heavily, and letting the others pull ahead before following again at a distance... trying to remember what the texts said about the effects of his invocation against the undead.

On his intiative (1d20+1=14) Garrit will charge the nearest skeleton with his mace (1d20+6=21, 1d8+2=6).
