Ahhh, another Hades cleric. Interesting. The last one we had was the one who pushed hardest to finish off the helpless dragonborn...

Hades is a cheerful, dice throwing, investment oriented god. Lauto is also a charming, friendly god... until it's your time! Then you can always pay for protection...

Hey quick general question. I know DM's are allowed to bend/break the rules slightly in what sources they can use, but can we craft entirely original monsters to use as long as we follow the rules for that in the DMG?

Nope. In your case, you can only use MM monsters, and, in fact, they must be minions.

;)

Yes, DM's can be more flexible in opponents used than players can in building their PC's.

Hello all, I'm creating a Paladin of Palladys to join in on the fun. Hopefully I can join you guys pretty soon.

Welcome, Rapida! Happy to have you aboard. Let us know if you have any questions.

I think I've got it under control. I've spent the last couple days lurking/reading. Of course now that I've said something I expect to be begging for help shortly :P

Awesome, good to have another paladin joining the ranks. Welcome!

In fact, these restrictions apply to all adventures in which any of the players is a judge. No more of this funny "custom monster" nonsense, Don :p

I'm not there yet, but if for anyone that cares I've got the crunch part of Brenwar Holyshield mostly done.
Linkie: HERE
I should finish it tomorrow sometimes and join the tavern crew.

Aww the MMC is not that evil... more like, heavily unaligned, with streaks of niceness :)

BTW... homebrew monsters? The horror!! Gotta protect myself, gotta apply as a judge!!! :D

And, rapida, you can indeed join the tavern before being approved, and there's only two characters in, with a recruiter waiting for more to come, so we're feeling lonely :)

No help for you by applying as a judge! I've already spoiler warned my sequel proposal to keep Covaithe and Garyh out, so you would just be excluded from the judges who could approve my adventure as well! HAhahahaaaaaa!!
