L4W Discussion Thread IV

All right! I fixed the L4W:CS:Attack function. I tested it out on Fragsie's CS. It works. You type in WisMod=# and WisRAtk=yes. This works for Wis, Str, Cha, Con, and Int. Dex is default. Check out his CS to see how it works.

Thanks Covaithe for the source code. I can see what you mean by needing to nix this, though. It's a pain in the rear to update!

Not allowed. You start at 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 8. You go up, not down.

Really?! Isn't that kinda limiting a character, i really don't mind having 2 scores below 10 (kinda looking forward to the RP challenge), and none of my other scores were above 18 before racial modifiers. By the PHB, if i used the Rolling method then this would be allowed.

Rolling method is only legal in private play as it is too varied. It lets some classes (like barbs) who have two easy dump stats (Int/Cha or Wis) get a few more points than others with minimal cost.

The recent interest in volunteering to help with judging here has been great. Unfortunately, there seems to have been some confusion, too. Velmont, Kalidrev, H.M.Gimlord, and Voda Vosa's offers to help with character reviews have been gratefully accepted, but they are not (yet) full judges. We do need to increase the judge pool, and discussions are ongoing, but we probably won't grow it quite that fast just yet.

The charter's list of judges is accurate:

Charter said:
The current judges are covaithe, garyh, Dunamin, Lord Sessadore, Ozymandias79, JoeNotCharles, and TwoHeadsBarking. Former judges who are now inactive include Atanatotatos, Halford, and Graf.

So no voting on proposals just yet, guys, and characters you review (thanks!!) still need a look from a full judge. Very sorry for all the confusion! And watch this space...

Alright guys.

Velmont, Kalidrev, H.M. Gimlord, and Voda Vosa have now been set up with filters to recieve L4W Character submissions. I've bumped all pending submissions and the updated status list, so please check your inbox and post a confirmation that you got them (there should be some 25-30 mails in total).

After a review, remember to mail a response back to the player and the judges. Many questions can probably be answered by looking at the comments for already approved characters, but otherwise feel free to ask. :)
