L4W Discussion Thread IV

HMG you can go to the templates when you are editing any of your characters. Here is the link to the attacks one - Template:L4W:CS:Attack - ENWiki It does work with WisMod if you use the appropriate variable (WisMAtk=yes)

Ah.. I'm being misunderstood. This is the input deck for the code. The wiki doesn't allow you to edit the actual function that makes the table. I actually need the source code to the function.

WisMod ... WisMAtk=yes only works for the Melee attacks.

For the ranged attack, an input like WisRAtk=yes is needed, but the L4W:CS:Attack source code doesn't seem to be written to receive a parameter by this name.

Does anyone have a copy of the source code to the L4W:CS:Attack function? If so, I'd be happy to add this functionality. If not, I'll hunt around and see if I can find it.

Its fine in the 'attacks' template, it's the 'basic attacks' template that's the issue

L4W:CS:Attack is the name of the function that generates the Basic Attacks table

It doesn't? If you edit the page linked to, thus:
View source - ENWiki

...it has the actual <table> elements and whatnot at the bottom. Look for things outside of the <noinclude/> block.

I question the usefulness of this template these days, but if you're up for editing it, that's the place to go.

In other news, it turns out I'm only judging one game at the moment, and that one looks likely to wrap up any day now. I guess I should take some more.

I'm pretty sure we need a judge in Daunton's Dead Shadow, but that could have been resolved where I couldn't see... Not that Cov could judge... as he is the DM.

Pretty sure garyh is judging that, though it may have only been mentioned in email, and not in the thread. I should update the thread title.

Why does that suddenly ring a bell, like I should have known that... probably because I should have known that and it is somewhere in a thread.

Hey all, I was going over a Fragsie's new character (L4W:PC:Psais (Fragsie - ENWiki) ) and noticed that he has two stats under 10 (an 8 and a 9) and was giving himself a cost of -1 for the 9 (since he lowered it from 10)... is this allowed? I didn't see anything in the charter explicitly stating that you can or cannot have a second score lower than 10. Having never seen this before, I am very curious if this will be allowed...
