L5R 4E book warning!

I'm just jumping on your thread with a rant on my own that isn't targeted at AEG, but rather at publishers who are creating fancy looking hardbacks with glossy paper and the whole shebang without giving any thought as to the physical durability of the product, and most noticeably its binding, often enough.

That's really something that annoys the heck out of me. Sorry for being slightly off topic with this.

Understandable. If I thought AEG was in the habit of doing such shoddily done books I wouldn't be buying from them by this time. I just hope this is a one time problem with their whole line.

Then definitely don't go to med school. (Well, okay, the books hold up pretty well, to be honest, but $200+ for one book is a little crazygonuts.)

Ahhh...any specialized education has its big-ticket books.

Back in the 1990s, I paid $400 for some hardcover law textbooks...and a Conflict Resolution/Negotiations class I registered for just got cancelled, meaning I didn't have to shell out $100+ for a softcover.

IOW, stay stupid, stay rich! (Wait...that doesn't...ummm...huh.)
