Lame Names

My Halfling Monk named Cale Yarrowburrow (NASCAR reference) had a Riding Dog companion named Barky... does that count?

My Elven Fighter/Wizard (mostly wizard) of the last 18 years now is named thallone. He was never able to stay in alignment or code for his intended class so the DM made me change it to the closest equivelent at the time. He was originally supposed to be a ranger. Thallone Ranger.

Other interesting characters have gotten names off of coffee cans and road cones. Splund the cleric was a shortend version of the local paving contractor asplundh. A current Cleric of Lathandar went through some minor revisions and when a last name became a good idea he becam Don Mark Touh.

I'm actuallly playing a character at the moment in Iron Kingdoms who is a gunslinger. He wears a broad-brimmed hat and a long coat, smokes cigars constantly, and when I speak as him I use a growlly, very familiar voice. His name is Lauden.

Lauden of the East Wood.

My impression has met with some acclaim, by the way.
