Will Ferrell played a wildlife marshall in Kevin Smith's "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back". His character's name in that movie was Marshall Willenholly (Marshall, Will, and Holly... for those that are slow)

Just seeing the title of this thread made me laugh. I hope that is not the only one I get out of this concept. But Sid and Marty Krofft are the producers, so Is Farrell really going to be allowed to run roughshod over their creation to make the true camp-fest this film needs to be?

I think directors need to keep Ferrell on a short leash. For my money he was funniest in Zolander, where he was crazy but it was a controlled and focused kind of crazy. Keeping him from just acting like an arse and bouncing off the walls might be a good thing.

Ferrell was great in -Stranger Than Fiction-. But I've never seen him be "funny", ever. He is the wrong choice for this picture.
