Large-sized Arrows?

A large creature is using a large-sized longbow. Is the 1d8 damage upgraded to 2d6?

Especially with a high strength bonus and a good enough composite bow

And note that it's the size of the bow, not the size of the arrows, that determines damage.

Obviously, you can't actually shoot Medium arrows from a Large bow... but if you're under an Enlarge Person, for example, the Large arrow you shoot is a Medium arrow by the time it hits a target.

Doesn't matter - the bow is still large, and you still deal 2d6 damage.

On the other hand, if you throw a Large javelin, then by the time it hits the target, it's reverted to its true Medium size... and deals damage as a Medium javelin.

Large bows can get really nasty with the damage when the character is built right...I dropped a nasty critter with one arrow (95 points of damage) from 400 feet away once...
