Groovy Daddio.

One package sent to you sir. The package contains 6 CDs, and 16 seperate applications. The $10.00 fee was paid via Paypal.

You should get it tomorrow or Monday, seeing as I am sending it from Akron.

Comments and Thoughts

So Crothian, since you are right outside of Columbus, I take it you will be doing the Origins thing?

In anycase, now that I have my applications in, here are my thoughts on the application process: a pain in the butt, but it should remain as is.

I see alot of publishers complaining about having to fill in the application by hand, and sending in 6 copies of their product. But you know what? 'Dems the rules. If I was too lazy to burn 6 cds, submission applications, and send them in, then I do not not deserve to have my products in competition.

By not having the ability to just upload the product to you, I feel like I have actually put effort into submitting my book(s) for your reward. REally. Anyone can fill in an online application and upload. By having publishers mail-in, it weeds out the people who aren't taking it seriously or publishers who simply don't care. Sure it takes some work, but only an hour for the 16 applications and only 20 minutes to burn 6 cds. sure it costs some money for the cds, application, and mail, but those are business tax write offs anyway.

Of course, I may change my mind on all this if I lose out on every category (which is always a possibility) :)

Yes, I go every year it is here I can. It is one of my two real vacations, the other being Gen Con.

Thanks, as always feedback is always appriciated.

Is the announcement of this year's ENnie nominations scheduled for a particular date? Or, barring that, is there a "last date by which they will be announced"?

Thanks,
Joseph
