Last call - need names for War of the Burning Sky

Titus Pollo and Lucius Vorenus should be in it. (HBO Rome characters) Maybe with a slight variation to avoid legal problems and making it less obvious. (maybe Titus Vorenus and Lucius Pollo?)

Yeah, I like those names also. However, I don't think there'd be any legal problems. Those characters, and their names, were real historical figures. They weren't portrayed in the show in a completely historically accurate manner, but they did a good job of adapting them to the story they were running with. Their characters were awesome. They'd be cool for a template for PC's also.

Here's one: Artillochus. In my campaign he was General Rado Artillochos of the Erisian War College, a war-alchemist.

His name is a combination of 'Archilochus' (a Greek poet who reputedly 'killed with a word' by driving someone to suicide with his satiric verse) and 'artillery' (which is what he becomes with the help of a few magic 'killing words' and a pinch of sulfur).

The Ragesian Armies
Three distinct armies defend the approach to Two Dragons Canyon and the Heart of History beneath it.

The Fifth Ragesian Army, commanded by infamous horse-archer General Titus, consists of twelve thousand infantry, three thousand cavalry, and a few hundred wild beasts, monsters, and devils. While four divisions of cavalry patrol the outer perimeter of the Ragesian holdings, the infantry waits in two long lines in the badlands east of Two Dragons Canyon. The attached inquisitor Atroius, a druid who flayed the skin off his face, spends most of his time in bear wildshape.

The Sixth Ragesian Army fields nine thousand infantry, hundreds of wyvern knights, and a few hundred powerful units of various magical natures, such as golems, oozes, and devils. Additionally, its commander, the snobbish inquisitor necromancer Euserius de Fiaba, directs a regiment of skeletal warriors.

The Seventh Ragesian Army defends the tunnel between Two Dragons Canyon and the Heart of History. This five-thousand soldier unit previously defended the Ragesian capital, and has trained extensively in close quarters fighting, while its commander, General Mazina, earned a reputation for loyalty to the empire. Her attached inquisitor, Artillochus, is renowned for his fascination with cruel traps, and keeps close tabs both on the General and on the green dragon Phaaugsmat, who serves as a final guardian for the Heart of History.
