For miniature collectors and painters:
It's been very successful and is now in "overtime," which means you can still back and get a pretty sweet set of stretch goals - I am buying two core sets which, with SGs is well under a buck/miniature, my KS benchmark.
Pros:
It's been very successful and is now in "overtime," which means you can still back and get a pretty sweet set of stretch goals - I am buying two core sets which, with SGs is well under a buck/miniature, my KS benchmark.
Pros:
- Excellent quality (I can vouch, having backed three previous campaigns from them). Archon/D&L have a sterling reputation both for great designs and professionalism.
- A strong record of delivering on or ahead of schedule.
- The company and factory is in Poland, so you shouldn't have to worry about most of the tariff unpleasantness (at least, not yet...who can say what the next five minutes will bring?).
- There's a pre-painted option for the ship and a number of the add-ons, and their patented "prisma-cast" factory painting technique is very impressive.
- HIP plastic, so much better detail and a lot less bending to worry about.
- assembly required - these are on sprues, like Games Workshop miniatures.
- it's basically all fantasy pirates/nautical stuff (basically designed for D&D, Pathfinder, Level Up, etc.), so you either need that or you don't.
