"Once per day, when you die after falling into lava, you can transform yourself into a lava elemental. <insert stats here> This effect lasts for the remainder of the encounter. Afterwards, you return back to Hades where your comrades have to come to get you back."

Somehow I don't think we'll be paying the $5k to release it under the GSL as a 4e product (unless WotC decide to grant us an exemption - hint, hint!), so it will remain OGL.

Ah, the joys of ENWorld. How I have missed thee!

One of the things I particularly like about ENW is the ability to sit down and have real discussions with the designers and creators of the supplements I use on a weekly basis.

True story: Before I encountered this thread, I actually allowed a 17th lvl Barbarian to not die when she rolled a '1' on her Reflex save to not fall into lava. If only I had known then what I know now.

At least when I played the Delve, and used a power to push some nasty monster into lava, it got a save to merely fall prone rather than move. It succeeded, and also succeeded against the Fighter's similar power. Nasty dice, we hates them!
So, it's not that you get a save to not die when pushed into lava, it's that you get a save not to go in the first place.
