We don't have a leader. Some players could be leaders, and some characters could be leaders, but unfortunately no "leadership candidate player" is playing a "leadership candidate character".
Its probably just as well, because this group cannot be led.
LG Half-celestial paladin (fighting a losing battle with a chaotic party)
N Elf mystic theurge (mainly concerned with saving his own skin)
CG Elf sorcerer (novice player)
CN Half-orc barbarian
CN Halfling rogue
CN Gnome druid (novice player)
Fortunately the action does not drag, because any time the discussions go on too long the rogue or the barbarian can be relied on to do something stupid and get things moving again
Its even better since they became friends, as the stupid act no longer involves attacking each other
The paladin does have a talking sword, so perhaps I'll follow Sledge's example and promote the sword to party leader.
