It's a neat idea, but realistically speaking, there's no way I would buy such a thing. The only part that intrigued me were the previous hints about extra content, such as rules clarifications or notes in the margins. But I don't see any mention of extra content in the current preview, so my interest is nil.
Hell, I bought the 20th Anniversary Call of Cthulhu Edition for... 100 bucks or something like that. And I already had two editions of CoC.
So I'm buying the leather bound PH, if I can find the money. I only have, what... like... bought the d20 rules nine times by now*, so what's one more time?
Cheers!

* PH3.0 (x2), PH3.5, EQ, Conan, d20 Modern, CoC d20, SW d20, SW d20revised, WoT. I think that's about it.
I may have purchased it if it had at least had the errata updated, but Andy Collins has said that it's just a reprint with a nice binding.
If they had used this opportunity to correct the errata, and perhaps expanded it to include more spells and/or other features then I would have bought it in a heartbeat.
