As far as dragonmarked houses, CaBaNa and I have twins that are part of Sivis. (Only my character currently has the mark of scribing, though.) Dragonmarked feats are pretty common among our PCs, but most of them are off-house and/or off-race. So in some instances the character is still somewhat connected with the House associated with that dragonmark, in other cases they are not.

As for role balance, etc. you can check out the Category pages on the wiki. Not every character sheet necessarily has all the proper category tags applied to it, but this should give you a general idea.

Category:LEB - ENWiki to see all the categories, then poke around.

For example:

Category:LEB:Dragonmarked - ENWiki
Category:LEB:Cleric - ENWiki

Someone did a bit of a "census" a while ago, but I'm not sure where to find it, maybe someone else can dig it up.

So hows everyone's real life beating them up this month? I've seen 16 hour workdays...

Sorry to hear abou the cancer, but good luck with it. I trust you can beat it as well. D&D players have courage, that is sure.

Yeah it has been me for the 16 work days. I work shift work, so they could be worse. My normal schedule is 3 days on then 3 days off. Alternating between sets are day and night shifts. OT right now bec we are down a person(for the next 2 mos). So my 12 hour shifts turn into 16 hour shifts. I'm back to working nights tomorrow, so I'll probably be scarce until at least Wed.

So hows everyone's real life beating them up this month? I've seen 16 hour workdays and new babies so far, and am personally dealing with a brand spankin new cancer diagnosis. So I'm just hoping everyone else is holding together ok.

I also started playing DDO unlimited, the free Eberron based MMO. Its using 3.5 rules but is ok as far as sticking to the core theme as much as it can. The tank still doesn't really exist as hate generation is still iffy.

Interesting. My father is a nine or so year cancer survivor, and I've been considering DDO for my MMO fix since I cannot afford Warhammer Online or WoW.

I need my dad to look into it for approval and whatnot, so it'll be a bit.

Can anyone tell me if there's hidden costs or anysort of malware associated with it? Those are some major concerns for my father and I regarding such programs. (And yes, I'm paranoid)

Edit: Silly me, getting distracted and forgetting why I came in here.

Well, I've still got a bit of time on my hands, and was thinking of taking a peek at LEB, but have no real knowledge of the Eberron setting, and limited 4E knowledge. I have the PHB and PHB2. Would I be able to join up and fit, or would it be problematic for myself and others? I've poked around a bit, but quickly got lost somehow.

Take a look here - Eberron Wiki it'll give you some info on the setting.

Re: DDO - no malware involved, it's a legit game and it is possible to play for free, but you can spend real world $'s to buy in game items. Also, I believe to get past lvl 4 you need to either buy and item or spend a lot of time grinding to get enough in game coinage to get it. That's kind of why I stopped, well that and I've played every quest when I had it when it came out and found it boring.

Thanks Ren. I also got lost looking for the basic character generation info, but maybe I'll have more luck this time, lol.

Edit: How familiar with things such as the houses must we be?

Theroc,

Visit the link below and download the PDF. It has an AMAZING amount of information on the world of Eberron, compiled from tons of different sources, most of which are Kieth Baker, himself (the creator of the Eberron setting)!

2 problems with the downloading thing:
1. Is Scribd legal? I mean, I've also seen that Scribd has D&D rulebooks on display(though I don't think it gives the full books), but it seems odd that you needn't even download to access the information.
2. I cannot download without running things past my father (though he's approved Enworld itself[so long as it's free]) as he owns the network I use, and it's connected to his PC.

It does sound like a good source though. I'd much prefer to learn about Eberron by playing in it, though. How much would one need to know to start off? I've read some of the basic stuff on the wiki Renau linked, but it really didn't give me much of a feel, though from things I've read about Eberron elsewhere, it's a sorta magi-tech steampunk kinda thing in parts, with magical devices replacing 'electronics' in that sense.
