Thanks for coming, everyone! I had fun. A little too much fun thanks to my third enormous White Russian. One of the benefits of hosting is that you can get toasted. Maybe we can do it again sometime. Anybody have a movie they really want to watch?
I had a moment to look up some of our points from last night’s viewing.
Treehorn’s house was designed by John Lautner. He studied under Frank Lloyd Wright and then went off to LA and did some neat stuff out there. He also pioneered an ultra-modern Jetsons’-esque style now called Googie, which is exactly like the bowling alley in the movie. The house was built in 1963 and is now known as the Sheats-Goldstein residence.
