Legal electronic copy of ToH OGC?

Ah, I see. I am a fool.

However, that makes things tougher. Very few publishers would want to basically recreate another publisher's work for little or no financial gain. I doubt that you will find what you are seeking.

They chose the name deliberately to evoke the killer aspects of that old module and to reinforce their theme of "3rd edition rules, 1st edition feel!" that they have for their products.

It makes talking about the product a little tougher just like Arcana Unearthed vs. Unearthed Arcana vs UA 1e. Confusion is easy.

Thanks to this Christmas I now own the MMII and the MMII, one for 1e and one for 3e.

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking but...

ToH just was made available for sale through DriveThru RPG as a PDF. It uses Adobe's DRM to prevent illegal copying. That's all.

Sorry. But yes, that is what I am asking. What are the restrictions being placed by the DRM. From what you say, I assume it means you can print it, but can't make duplicate electronic copies. Correct?

Thanks

You can print.

You can make duplicate copies.

You cannot read them on a computer that you haven't registered with Adobe. Basically, if you register your computer with Adobe, you can read you ebooks on only that computer. You may register up to six computers in total. I currently have my PC and my laptop registered for example, and I can transfer files between those computers.

Most but not all DRM files have a cut and paste restriction. However, Malhavoc Press products and Necromancer Games products IIRC do not have this restriction. The restriction is normally a limit of 10 uses in a 10-day period.

Another issue with DRM is longevity. It's an issue with all electronic media, but especially with proprietary formats like DRM. If, in five years, Adobe has gone bankrupt and is not available to validate your documents on the new computer you will inevitably be forced to upgrade to due to the old computer ceasing to function, your DRM purchases will be rendered absolutely worthless. Regular PDFs don't have that same problem, so long as you also have a PDF reader you can install on that new computer.

Given the volatility of the software biz, and the pleasure I get by flipping through twenty-year-old RPG materials, this has some meaning for me.

But since that is not the current case has anyone copied the OGC parts of TOH (Everything except the art) into an rtf or word document? I would really like to get legal access to an electronic copy of these creature stats all in one easy document.

To be clear, I am not asking how to crack DRM. I am not asking where to get an illegal copyright infringing scanned copy of the book. Please do not bring up such issues as they will get the thread closed. I am only asking if anybody has copied the ogc into one document as can be done legally.
I have specifically not done what you asked, although it's probably easier to do then the naughty thing i talked of before that got the original thread closed. The reason i don't do this is because that would demotivate necromancer to publish anything else in it's original electronic format or with future releases will be a lot more carefull with their designation of OGC.
