Legendary Artist Tim Hildebrandt Has Passed Away

Ironically, just yesterday I passed by a display of Tim Hildebrandt Jigsaw puzzles, all discounted, and was remarking about how I'm glad at this this one of the classic artists from TSR days is still alive.

You'll be missed, Tim. Tell Dave and Keith we said hi.

My earliest exposure to Tolkien was a '77 Hildebrandt calendar my parents owned.

I had that poster on the back of my door in my bedroom, until I destroyed it in a fit of childish rage. (Hey, I was like 7.) One of the stupidest things I have ever done.

This is disheartening.
