Legolas in D&D (using the Elements of Magic!)

I thought you only got a minor boon at 4th level, so he couldn't get Aura of Defenes unless he picked that as his initial benefit.

Although I am sure everybody knows this or at least has read stuff like this about him in the books- something about him walking On blades of grass I think?!)

Actually, his walking on top of the snow appears in the book also, in the same scene.

I'd say all the members of the Fellowship (except the hobbits: 1st level commoners, all the way!) are around 10th level. That should help in a few of the more higher-up abilities. :)

Renaissance Man[/i] [B]I wanna see the feat that allows him to effectively use an arrow as a piercing melee weapon said:
That one's easy - 3E already has rules for using an arrow as a melee weapon, for 1d2 damage, and at a -4 penalty to hit.
Check the equipment chapter under "Arrows".

The -4 penalty to hit is a non-proficiency penalty. While Henry's solution does not require a feat, you could always take Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Melee Arrow) to overcome the non-proficiency penalty.

I think they might be aristocrats... :)

I ask again. Legolas has magic? Is this in the books?

This whole topic has me confused.

He is a paladin? I thought he was a ranger like Aragorn.

I think the idea of the original post was to show how flexible the EoM book is. Legolas isn't a Paladin in the PHB sense, but apparently, the EoM version of the Paladin can be used to build him in a convicing manner.

I think all this needs is a race:

TOLKIEN ELF:

Racial Bonus: +1000 Cha, +30 Dex
Racial Ability:
*Badass Elf: I'm an elf, and I can do anything that's cool and suave and stylish automatically, without a roll. This includes, but is not limited to: being badass with an bow and arrow. Being badass with a sword. Being badass when dwarves are near. Being badass by walking on top of the ground. Being badass by jumping around. I can make women swoon, though guys think I'm a wussy. that's alright, they think that about all beautiful men -- I know it's jealusy.

P.S.: Dwarves suxxor! Rawr!

P.P.S.: Plus, I'm imortal :p

YOU GOT IT!

I know it's probably too much to hope for, but I want to see Gimli get his comeuppance. I think the battle at Helm's Deep is perfect for that -- the dwarf wins in their little contest! Show him jumping up into the air, cleaving orcs in half, taking more arrows or blows than Boromir and still swinging and laughing about it. Show him tossing blades like a chef at a ritsy oriental restaurant, turning those goborcs into Shashimi!

Personally, I like how D&D has shied away from "ELVES ROXXOR!" especially in 3e....nothing annoys me quite so much than a baised opinion with proof. ;)

I'm not against elves rockin'. I just want to see everyone else rockin' too. Durn show-offy elf ninja! raoar!
