OOC: Just to make sure I understand, Johann and Hraln are both watching both (opposite) directions at the same time?

OOC: if I am to understand correctly, each wyvern is coming at us to meet here we are for what ever proclivities are to be acted upon. if so, then I would guess that you are correctly stating this.

Missing my point

OOC: No, no, no, you're not getting it. My post was intended to illustrate the impossibility of doing both of these things at the same time. If you are looking one way you cannot by definition be looking the other way. Oh, I suppose you could be dividing your attention equally between both directions, but you'll run the risk of getting dizzy, in addition to the risk you're already running of standing in the middle of the corridor with your thumbs up your a$$e$ when the "lovers" converge.

OOC: If anyone, ANYONE I say, has a particularly cunning plan, now would be the time to share it with the rest of us. Otherwise, carnage will soon ensue....

OOC: Or, as they say, Bidness is a-fixin' ta pick up!

The calls are coming with greater urgency and intensity now. Both seem to be roughly equally distant, too, just closer. Much closer.

"Or maybe we need to hide in the shadows and wait until they are distracted with each other and attack then?"

"I have a potent charm spell. If you all do nothing threatening, I may be able to encourage one of the beasts to pass us by. Come on, we don't want to encounter them both." He sprints ahead in the direction that the party was already heading readying an Extended Charm Monster spell.

OOC: Ready an action to cast Extended Charm Monster as soon as one of them comes into range of 50'. He hopes by running toward one and away from the other to buy time Charm the one and encourage it to pass us by on the way to the tryst and we'll continue to move away and when they meet up they'll be too busy to give us further thought. Will DC21 for the spell.

Wyvern

Soon enough, the wizard hears the flapping of wings just ahead of him. Pausing to duck behind a rock, he prepares to cast his spell. Then he sees the ungainly 'flight' of the approaching wyvern, inhibited by a club-foot and a broken tail {rudder} the wyvern aerially limps closer as Yurei speaks his spell.

1d20+8=11

The wyvern looks fondly at Yurei, almost as if it wishes to lick his face, but then it (he) remembers his errand and Yurei motions him on toward his mate. The wyvern is only too happy to comply, and streaks past the party exactly like a man on a mission. Soon enough, the party is serenaded by the sweet sounds of two very large draconian reptiles in the throes of passion.

OOC: Excellently played! Full xp for both wyverns is granted to all. 800 xp each.

Eldran Hawkshand

The ranger returns his sword to its scabbard. "In my years of questing, I had never seen this particular solution employed..."
