The Vault of Larin Karr

Oddly enough, there are no dire death traps warding these spellbooks. (ooc: the search DC to find them was 20, and that appears to have been enough protection to satisfy the old coot.) There are 500 books in the library. It will take the party, say, four hours to do a thorough search of the place, after which time you find the following:

There are 12 books written in the Duergar tongue, 4 are in Dwarven, 2 in Elven, only 1 in Common. the rest are in Undercommon, Drow, or Draconic. Most deal with magical theory or history. 40-50 concern Underdark politics, primarily Drow Elf politics.

It is obvious that there is knowledge to be gained here, the only issues are the sheer size of the library (which makes transportation of the library impractical if not impossible), and the time required to gain the knowledge from the tomes.

Tylara's eyes get bigger and bigger as she reaches the spells of higher power levels. It is all she can do not to laugh manically as she sees 'Wish'.

"Oh. WOW."

Tylara is not so overwhelmed that she would pass up an opportunity to slap Cappizzio down. "So how many years of education and how many languages to you have got under your belt Cappizzio? The best you can do is 'oh WOW'. How about Magnificent, Glory to Gods who are most Beneficent, Wonderful, Serendipitous, or maybe something in Undercommon? Those Drow do have a way with exclamations."

OOC: Are we counting chickens before they hatch? Remember, it is a LONG way back to any place where you can show off these new spells to truly appreciative audiences, and there's much dungeon and a good amount of Underdark 'twixt you and home. Not to mention that you're not even through going FORWARD yet....

"Let's pack these away for now. We can study them better later in a more hospitable location." They put the spellbooks away the their Handy Haversacks, splitting the books up between them. "Now let's move on to the next door." Kerlan walks to another secret door. Once everyone is ready, he opens it.

OOC: I think there was a door on the right side, correct? If so, he goes there.
