Well, in that case, I suppose it will be of assistance as stated in the spell's description. Unassisted spellcraft checks could also work, for that matter, theoretically. The DC for such a task is not specifically given in the module, but I do have enough to calculate it.

"Hmmm, the master, but not the master. Since it's a heart it could mean his actual heart. I believe there is a spell that can do that in order to extend life. It could also be something like a Simulacrum. Anyway it seems like the chest is the one we want to take. We just have to be prepared for what may be on the other side. Let's go ahead and do it."

"Well if no one has any objections, lets go ahead then." If no one makes any move to oppose him, Kerlan will push in the combination for the assumed treasure room and gathers them all in the circle.
