of fun with this group and game
Thank you, DeWar. It means a great deal to me that you're still so enthusiastic about the game after all this time. (As near as I can figure it, it's been somewhere in the vicinity of six years now!) The module is supposed to take characters from 4th level to 9th level, but I think you'll come out a bit short of that because of some modifications and some parts we skipped over that didn't seem particularly exciting to me. It should be a fairly easy matter to find another module, or start you on a homebrew adventure. I'm leaning towards the latter choice these days, but I do have a number of modules that I haven't ever used, so who knows.

Also, KUDOS to Kerlan for his heartwrenching reaction to Manny's demise. I'm just not sure whether to nominate you for an Academy Award, or a Bill Shatner Award.

Lou's Departure

Francheska has been orphaned due to Lou withdrawing from the game. Seems he doesn't care for the way Pathfinder applies specifically to her. I appreciate Lou's honesty and his dedication to this game for lo, these long years since its inception, even though Fran was added later.

He is going to be missed, perhaps he would like to make a new character? Might I recommend looking at a fire elementalist?

That option is, of course, open to him , but it didn't seem like that would satisfy him. Still, who knows with Lou?

I believe that you just did that, DeWar, but, yes, I will, too: Come Back, Lou! Come Back!

Truthfully, though, adding a new character to the party will have to wait until you return from the dungeon, and considering how near you are to the end, that will probably also mean the end of the module. Now, we could continue past that point, but this was just a one module contract, so we'll have to discuss what happens next.

I appreciate the requests for me not to leave the game. (I've been subscribed to the Whirtlestaff threads for a long time before I joined the game.)

The concept for Francheska was a fire elf evoker/master specialist with became enchanted with force spells and moved to argent savant. No familiar, she counter-attacks spells. She is CG with a bit of a sadistic streak. That works great in 3.5, but I can't seem to get that same feel in Pathfinder.

Starting with race: no fire elves in Pathfinder. I weakly tried to stat out fire elves in terms of the Race Builder from the Advanced Race Guide. Ifrit are close, but mainly designed for sorcerers.

Class: Pathfinder is designed for balance, so changes within a class are minimized. I toyed with Wizard (evoker or fire elementalist) 5 / Sorcerer 2 (Arcane/Sage or Efritti)...
