Hey that looks great Gary! :)

Congratulations! :D

...and who are those horned centaur types by the way! Very cool looking!

Thanks!

The main critter with a forehead horn is a cephalicorn giant--a pretty nasty customer who has the horn or a couple of hand-blows that are high-damage attacks too.

The artists are working feverishly to get all the creatures in the game rendered. Long ways to go yet, but coming along gream I think:)

Thanks for the quick reply Gary! :)

The artwork and the graphics both look very well done!

One of the problems with games of this nature is often the amount of onscreen control you have over characters - especially noticeable during combat - so it will be interesting to see how that develops...but as it stands its looking great!

Seems like the programmers are pretty adept, so onscreen control is likely to be very good.

If you know any Mac users, have 'em surf to the DI website and take a look, then let the guys there know they'd like to be able to play. There's a fair chance that DI will do something about enabling Mac users to play--if they get sufficient interest.

Sorry for my abject ignorance but what is an mmp rpg, is it like everquest and dark ages of camelot, that everyone on the planet seems hooked on.

Yes.

I have done some game design for <> in the past and I am curious as to how they are going to accomplish some of what they claim.

Most of of the massive multi-player games are combat dependant for character "advancement" (be it skills, levels, or whatever). It is extremely difficult to quantify role-playing type skills (diplomacy, etc.) without "human intervention." In a single player game these things can be done because the machine (computer, or game console) can control all of the surrounding factors. What if you are trying to negotiate a peace treaty while someone else is trying to start a war?

I won't get into the reasons for it, but I have a feeling that both the home computer and the host machine will require a great deal of muscle. I am very curious about this project, I am sure I will check it out when it is released.

If it's ported over for the Mac, I think you'll find a lot of users who until now have been left out of the MMORPG market. I'm glad you're thinking about it.
