Well, since the Shades of Netheril are important to the 4e FR setting, and Shadow seems to be the power source they are most intimate with, I suspect it'll be sooner rather than later.

I concur. It'll probably be a power source described in the FRCG, if it isn't in either the MM1 or the DMG1.
