I see people constantly asking about acronyms on these boards. RAW, BBEG, FLGS, etc.

Let's make up some more really obscure acronyms to confuse and bewilder all the newbies.

I'll start with gamer classifications:

GIH - guy in hat.

GWPt - guy with ponytail.

FBSG - fat, bearded, smelly guy.

GC - goth chic

GC(wLE) - goth chic with lazy eye

If you want to see some great acronyms, do some work at NASA ;)

When I was there, they taught me one named FIFE. I forget for what it stands, but it was a recursive acronym (i.e. some of the letters in FIFE stand for nested acronyms).

Okay...

BOT - Bard outside tavern
BIT - Bard inside tavern
BbOT - Barbarian outside tavern
BbIT - Barbarian inside tavern
WIL - Wizard inside lab
WBOS - Witch's Book of Shadow
AP/BbRW - Adventure party with Barbarian, Ranger and Wizard
AP/FAC - Adventrue party with Fighter, Ranger and Cleric

the military has better ones, but most of the astronauts are in the service:

SNAFU - situation normal all messed up
FUBAR - messed up beyond all recognition

How can you beat POV (privately owned vehicle)? A three word acronym for 'car'. :p

I always get a kick out of that one.

Someone mentioned "MAD" before and I joking referred to "Multiple Ability Dependency." Someone asked what that was, and I came up with:

Merrily Upstanding Little Tadpoles In Periwinkle Lillacs Each At Boston In Lemon Incense, Trying Yummily Dance Exercises Pending Each Nappy Daughter Earns Nickel, Cents, Yen.

Darn you Otu! ;)

Interesting that those two have come into common parlance when that is what they stand for (I see Snafu and Fubar used as words all the time)

FUBAR especially after "Saving Private Ryan."
