Let's run a module: Nominations

Okay, while Dungeon adventires and fre eadventuires are good ideas, we need specific information about them. So, please go forth and find a good one and then bring us the information concerning the adventure. Thanks!! :D

Well, I'm trying. None of the freebie adventures is appealing to me, but I thought I'd throw that up there to assist those who are looking. I know which one I would nominate from Dungeon, but I know the fact it uses XPH would cause it to meet with some resistance. ;) So I'm trying to determine which DCCs or other Dungeon adventures would work. (Since they are at home, those will have to wait until tonight.)

But it's only second level.

Was hoping for something more central to the level range.

The whole point of this thread is to simply to nominate adventures, which seems to be quiet a chore for some reason. Let's wait until after we have nominations to start picking apart what we like and don't like.

Age of Worms 1: The Whispering Cairns by Erik Mona

Appears in Dungeon #124 as the First part of the new Dungeon Adventure Path.

Other plusses:
  • Has a free online supplement
  • Draws upon another free 50 page online supplement called Age of Worms: Overload - expected later this week on www.paizo.com as a free download.
  • Dungeon #124 comes with a pull-out map of the adventure area in the module.
  • Draws upon supplementary material for players called "Worm Food" in Dragons #324-326
  • Campaign World Neutral: Compatible with Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms and Eberron and includes extensive conversion notes for each setting in the free online supplements
  • Part of a longer campaign if the DM and players want to take it farther
  • IMO, is one of the best if not the best module to ever be published in Dungeon Magazine.
  • Is for first to third level requiring no special backgrounds
  • As a recent Dungeon Magazine module, it is already in the possession of a significant number of ENWorld DMs.
  • As a Dungeon Magazine module, is about as cheap a module as it gets for those who must purchase it to participate. Given the size of the module and its online supplements, it presents probably the best value for dollar in the market for a 3.5e retail adventure.

We should probably think about the criteria we want to use. I'm *very* flexible with cost, level, and so on, but I think a shorter adventure, one that can be ran as a one shot or as a single session, might be best.

Thoughts?

it might be best to start out with something easy. In a few months we can always do this again with a different module and frankly if this works well I plan on doing that. :D
