I'm Ray...of Enfeeblement
Ok folks I'm in a high powered game, 16th-17th level, and this is the 1st time we've ever played this far. The problem is is that I've got one more level of me PrC to take and I'll have hit 18th. So what on earth am I meant to do next?

Thus far I am a human:

Cloistered Cleric 1
Paladin 6
Sword of Righteousness 1
Fist of Raziel 9

When I hit 18th, (probably no more than a months time), that'll be me PrC completed so what does one take for 19th and 20th?

I've been after sainthood for many levels now but I don't see that happening for many more.

I can't go back to paladin because I switched out to FoR, even though Raziel is the patron of paladins!

Another 2 levels in the Sword PrC might be the way to go for the extra exalted feats?

Pious Templar also sounds good for the 'mettle' ability?

Any thoughts?

Switching to a PrC does not mean you cannot take more levels in paladin. Prestige classes are the exception to the rule on paladins and monks. That aside, I'm sorry but I really have no other suggestions.

Generally speaking, they aren't the exception to the Paladin / Monk rule.

*Certain* PrCs have additional rules text to the effect of, "This PrC may be freely multiclassed with Paladin levels. A Paladin who takes levels in the PrC may continue to take Paladin levels as normal."

Such text, however, is generally the exception, rather than the rule.

Ask the DM if you can go back to paladin, I would think most DMs would allow it for a religious-based prestige class. You could always just go fighter for the two extra feats, or go monk just to irritate the DM for not letting you do Paladin again.

I misrembered. I thought it was put in the errata. Hmm, I guess the same DM's who don't allow multiclassing freely to PrC's probably also impose an XP penalty on PrC's. That's not in the errata either, is it?

Sometimes, WotC irritates the ___ out of me. :(

I think you could be right, he'll probably allow it and thinking about it, me ol' mount should go up another 'level' which would be really handy. Spellcasting would get a bit better and that would make 'divine sacrifice' last just that little bit extra, (a lovely spell).

If all other things fail, you can still add two levels of fighter before heading to epic levels. ;)

Both Fighter and Sword of Righteousness are looking good because of the 2 extra feats.

Paladin for the enhanced mount and spells.

Mmmmmm.......

IIRC, the 10 fist of Raziel levels will leave you as an 11th level clerical caster?

I'd seriously consider something which adds cleric spellcasting ability? It'll all continue going up when you hit those epic levels.

Possibly a couple more levels of cloistered cleric. Depending on how bad the combat stats of that class are, maybe cleric?

2 Levels of fighter for the feats also sounds good.
