Letting Rangers skirmish.

All,

I would like your opinion on letting rangers skirmish just like scouts of equal level.

Would eliminating favoured enemy and the Combat styles for rangers make this a balanced trade-off ?

Let him choose it as a combat style and give him skirmish +1d6 at the levels he gets combat style feats (2,6 and 11) for a maximum of +3d6 skirmish.

What does Skirmish mean mechanically?
A character with the skirmish ability gets bonuses to damage and to AC after he moves 10 feet in a round. This usually rules out making a full attack, with a few exceptions, e.g. pounce, dervish dance.

Nope.

I would say a Ranger would need to give up about everything he has.
That seems a little harsh, given that I can build a Scout 4/Ranger 2/Highland Stalker 10/Dervish 4 with BAB +19 who can dervish dance twice a day to get seven attacks a round with bonus damage of +4d6 per attack and still get several other nifty abilities.
