Level of Mass Fly

As I was entering all the spells from Tome and Blood into my E-Tools database, I noticed that Mass Fly was listed on page 84 as a 6th level spell, but the spell description on page 93 lists it as 5th level. Does anyone know which level it is supposed to be?

Mass haste is 6th, so I would guess that mass fly would also be 6th.

In Books of Eldrich Might, I think Monte Cooke puts it at 7th.

I thought 6th level sounded right, but why did Monte make it 7th level in BoEM?

I'd go with 6th as well. Fly is such a hook-up that it needs a 3 level boost for a mass version.

He put it at 7th in the BoEM II for his sorcerer variant, not for the core classes.

No, it's in BoEM, page 24, as a new sor/wiz spell and it is listed as 7th level. T&B lists it as 6th level (and 5th in the spell description, which I think must be an error). BoEM II does not list Mass Fly on the alt.sorcerer list at all, let alone as 7th level. You must be thinking of the first BoEM.

I believe the difference is mass fly in Tome and Blood requires all recipients to remain within a certain distance of each other while the version in BoEM does not.
