Level Up Gateway Level Up Gateway Alpha Testing Is Live!

If you backed the original 2021 Level Up Kickstarter, you should now have alpha-test access to Level Up Gateway!

Level Up Gateway is the official character builder for Level Up: Advanced 5th Edition. You can use it to build your characters, manage your campaigns, and make and share dice rolls. At present, the alpha build contains content from the Adventurer's Guide, with all the heritages, cultures, backgrounds, and destinies from that book as well as all 13 classes up to level 5.

Alpha-testing access is available now to backers of the original Kickstarter. We'll be rolling out wider access soon.

It's not a secret--it was in our original announcement. The developer is Alexander Fredstie who is the brains behind the Tableplop VTT.

I don't know if this is definitely how I'd settle on these characters, but it's kinda fun playing around. Turns out a lot of the folks in LotR are nobles of one kind or another!

Right now, amongst the instruments there's the option for a 'Casaba', which is a type of melon. I think it's meant to be a cabasa.

Pretty sure that option is there for Gallagher. And if you don't get the reference, I must be old.

A couple minutes ago I created a Dragonborn Fighter with the Draconic Armor gift. I didn't equip him with a suit of armor because I figured that with his DEX 18 his natural armor would be a 17 (13+4). But his character sheet shows him having an AC of 14 (10+4). Do I need to equip his natural armor?

• Spaces in invite codes are now automatically removed
• Fixed issue where users with the LastPass extention could not see what they typed into registration/login fields
• Fixed Sorcerer Metamagic panel in character builder not opening
• Fixed incorrect save proficiencies for Adept
• Fixed an error causing the magic tab to not display anything for level 1 sorcerers
• Fixed Marshal incorrectly using d8 hit die at level 1 and 5
• Fixed incorrect save proficiencies for Herald
• Fixed Wizards not getting Prestidigitation automatically
• Fixed an issue where cantrips and spells could not be learned in the character builder
• Fixed an issue where the exertion pool could become too wide to fit the space
• Fixed Draconic Armor gift not applying to character

Changes made:

• Added news and activity feed to front page
• Added a way to add standalone characters to a campaign (In the menu to the right of the new character button on the Campaign Characters page)
