LFR quick question

As far as I can tell, I can play a Kobold in LFR. Am I missing something, or would this be OK? Thanks!

No, you can't. Nor a bugbear, or most of the Monster Manual races.

You may want to refer to livingforgottenrealms.com and look at their campaign guide, specifically what's a valid rules source for characters.

CCG indicates that the only allowed content from the Monster Manual is the Orc race, so no, it would not be allowed.

thanks - the guide is a bit confusing in that a few monsters (orcs, kenku) are allowed.

Yes, but it specifically outlines that they are the ONLY monster races allowed as outlined by the paragraph just before the chart:
"Insider tools such as the Compendium and Character Builder, but these tools also include all the other D&D content that isn't a player resource, so make sure you double-check this chart before using new material."
