Life Without Gaming--What would we do???

Well, I'd just probably do more of the other stuff I do in my life. Socializing, drinking, rock climbing, snowboarding, camping, hiking, geeking out on the 'net, etc. etc.

Of course if gaming had never been a part of my life I would be a different person, but you could say that about anything in your life that influenced you and made you the person you are today. Perhaps not seeing a certain movie, reading a certain book or anything else like that would have also, in subtle ways, change who you ended up as today.

Hmm, lets see.
I would have stayed playing Football and Soccer, would have stayed in Drama club, probably stayed a straight-A student (instead of being a smart kid who got sick of school), gotten a scholarship (maybe a football scholarship, i was pretty good).........

........................HEY!!!

No gaming?

In college: I was in the SCA so I probably would have been more active in that. Either that or drama.

Post 25 after my break from gaming: I started to get active in journalism before taking up my gaming project. Without gaming I would have continued in that vien and I would be a very, very bitter person right now. That'll happen when someone steals your byline, people e-mail you to let you know that they plagarized your stuff, and the publisher doesn't bother to pay you (three seperate instances! Gaaaa!)

in my five year hiatus from gaming i was in the studio seven days a week, i lost about 25 lbs and was very pale.....turns out that all those game munchies are good for you i guess (i am one of the board members who sees losing 25 lbs as a bad thing, i am at 174 lbs now, at 6ft, and this is the biggest i have ever been;) )

LOL!!

If there hadn't been gaming I would be a pathologicaly shy computer geek with no friends. I would have way more money than I have now but I would also be a lot duller.

Dead, in prison or working underground as a hitman. As it is, I'm convinced that I'm living on borrowed time and that living past my 13th birthday was a cosmic mistake.

And I could see there was a world of difference in what he considered fun and I what I considered fun. I don't think going to bars and getting drunk is fun, he does.

Ulrick

In college I drank a river of beer and consorted with lots of loose women. I partied like a fool.

A fool.

I regret that I didn't game more than I did. I wonder if I wouldn't have gotten more serious about gaming sooner, with the result being that I would have started Scrollworks years ago. I lament the fact that I wasted so many hours...

Ulrick, enjoy your game and don't sweat the difference in lifestyle between you and your RA. But mebbe you could swoop on his neglected woman?
