Light Blindness

Light Blindness: Abrupt exposure to bright light (such as
sunlight or a daylight spell) blinds drow for 1 round. On subsequent
rounds, they are dazzled as long as they remain in the
affected area.

If a creature with Light Blindness, like the Drow, isn't exposed to bright light 'abruptly', but more slowly, is it still dazzled in bright light?

Would you consider waking up during the day 'abrupt exposure'?

I think, since orcs have the lesser light sensitivity and are always dazzled in bright light, I'd say yes to your first question. As to your second, I think that's probably DM fiat. Other opinions may vary. ;)

Let's put it this way. If you were slowly exposed to an arc search light shining in your eyes would it still effect you? Yes.
