Limited Edition PHBs every year?

Didn't Ryan Dancey discuss an idea for putting out a new "limited edition" of the PHB every year, rejiggered for a different genre, with new art and design and such?

An "Anime Edition", a "Horror Edition", that sorta thing?

I'd like to see a certain amount of new content --- say, 15 pages of genre-specific material, tucked in the back of the book --- but I acutally think this could be a workable sales plan.

You could even have a Forgotten Realms edition and an Eberron edition, matching the look of the books in those series.

Me, I already got a PHB 3.0 and a PHB 3.5...but with the right concept and good execution, I might buy me just one more....

I think Ryan and Jonathan Tweet were talking about the importance of releasing a new Basic game every year with new art and figs with different themes.

The Special Edition PHB was a 35th anniversary thing.

Perhaps I'm misremembering, then.

Alternate Basic Sets might be a good idea, too...but that gets into the whole "how to get young players" discussion, and I honestly have no idea how to get the kids to roll the funny dice...

I recall the idea being put forth by a poster here, in response to old cranks (like myself) bemoaning the artwork in the 3.x books.
