Limits for magic armour

I'm a bit curious as to where you're getting this "200,000 gp" limit from. As far as I can tell, such a limit doesn't exist.

200,000 gp is what hong said. This indicates he's referring to the Epic-level handbook (as the DMG doesn't tell the limit AFAIK), which limits non-epic items to 200,000 gp. Of course, you can still create a bigger item but then you're following epic item creation rules.
