April 4, 2005. For immediate release and dissemination:
Lions Den Press, in conjunction with Ronin Arts, is pleased to announce their newest release: The Iconic Bestiary: Classics of Fantasy.
The first in Lions Den's Iconic Bestiary line, Classics of Fantasy is a monster resource intended for players and publishers alike. Presented herein are seven new monsters (or 13, including sub-types), fully ready for use. Each one of these creatures correlates to one of the iconic monsters not included in the SRD. These are not the same creatures in disguise, but rather occupy the same niche, and possess comparable though not identical abilities.
The Iconic Bestiary: Classics of Fantasy offers Game Masters the ability to surprise their players while still maintaining the mood and feel of these fantasy gaming classics, and offers other publishers replacement creatures that do not violate any of the current licenses, while still keeping much of the resonance of the originals. The product is written by Ari Marmell, and contains art by Beth Trott.
