When the subject of live-stream D&D games comes up, and people start posting their comments in the thread, you can quickly get the idea that they are highly contentious things. People side up into different camps, lines are drawn, alliances form. "I guess people either love them or hate them," you might say to yourself.

But is that true? Let's find out!

The question: When it comes to live-play D&D shows--whether they be live or recorded, podcast or video, regular episodes or single events--do you love them, or do you hate them?

Seems like a bit of a confirmation bias - people are far more likely to participate in this thread and poll if they feel strongly about D&D live-play shows than if they don't.

And by extension, the same can be said for all of the threads we're seeing here on ENWorld and elsewhere about them. The visibility of an issue can make it seem larger and more contentious than it really is, especially on the Internet.

The intent of this poll was to poke a little fun at both sides of the issue, which is why it's worded so simply. If I were truly trying to measure the number of people who do/don't like this sort of entertainment, I would need more than a simple binary poll.

Meh. Mostly not my thing but a few have been interesting enough to listen to and overall I don't have strong feelings about them.

Aww. I was this close to including a fourth, "Both love AND hate" option. Sorry about that.

1. I love them.
2. I hate them.
3. I love and hate them.
4. I neither love nor hate them.
5. I love or hate them.
6. If I love them, then I hate them.
7. Because I hate them, I necessarily love them.
8. All Bards are Lyres.

9. I hate to love and hate them.
10. I love hating how I love them.
11. I hate myself for loving them.
12...

12. I hate myself for loving you / Can't break free from the the things that you do / I wanna walk but I run back to you /That's why I hate myself for loving you.
