Live sucks and then...

You get married was always my favorite ending to that. Interestingly enough, tomorrow is my one year anniversary. And my new ending is...and then your car gets stolen. I think the 50 bucks of groceries in the back and the zippo in the front were more valuable than the car was, but it was nice having a car.

Guess I need the exercise anyway.

If anyone in Poznan, Poland sees a red Skoda with the license plate PO 5830A lemme know :).

Hey, that does kind of sucks. Sounds like the car isn't going to be tough to replace, though. Matchbox? ;)

Sorry to hear about your car being stolen. At least, no one was hurt.

I usually hear and say the phase "life sucks and then you die".

I haven't had a car in five years but then I work at home.

My favorite variant was:

"Life's tough, then you die, then the worms eat you.

Be glad it happens in that order!"

It's from a book about 2+ meter long man-eating worms...

Life sucks, and then you suck it up and look for the bright side.

Not that I don't empathize with the loss of your car. I just try not to stay down long.

Figured I might help you put some of this in perspective.

This year I have...

1. Dated and got dumped by possibly the most wonderful woman I have ever known, because she wasn't ready to start dating.
2. Went on a two week vacation. When I got there, I got sick. When I got better, and was ready to go enjoy my trip, the region got hit by the worst flooding in 100 years. That was my two weeks.
3. Got a disease that supposedly only very young children get. Not the same thing that happened on the trip.
4. Lost my car in an accident after being t-boned by a BMW doing 60 in a 25, but due to vagaries of traffic law and some really bizzare coincidences, the accident was technically my fault.
5. Took up bicycling, and got run off the road four times, and got run off the sidewalk by a car once.
6. Watched helplessly as a woman was bumped, fell, and rolled under a bus's wheels.

You know what?

I've been where you are, and I know the score. It's all you can do to keep your chin off the floor. But if you're wearing a grin when they hand you your hat, well, the world's grinnin' too, and baby that's where it's at!

(Cribbed shamelessly from "Sometimes you do the best you can" by Indigo Swing.)

Life sucks, and then....wave after wave of terrible things happen, each more horible than the last, making you long for those better days when life merely sucked.

:heh:
