Monster Manual 3

MM3 has stats for the warforged scout. It's 3 feet tall and I guess it could be made in any sort of style you'd like.

There's also the construct in Fantasy Flight Games' Dragonstar Setting. Somewhere I think I also made a template version of it for my home games. Warforged scout is a good quick fix, but IMO, is a bit too durable for a "doll".

Take a halfling, apply the effigy template to it.

Edit - Prepare her for the storm of Pinocchio references she's likely to endure.

The effigy template would give her an INT of -- and a CHA of 1.

There is a Template in the Advanced Bestiary for making intelligent constructs -- the Lifespark Construct template. My one concern is that you roll 3d6 for each of the three mental stats.

That would be troublesome, wouldn't it? Hmmm. Does the Slaymate from Libris Mortis have an LA? That might not be a bad option, and you could just describe it differently flavor-wise.

Remember that tiny things don't threaten their adjacent spaces and must enter a creature's space to attack them in melee...and that provokes an AoO.

Excellent point.

However, the bonus to DEX and the AC bonus to size to boot would make the character much more difficult to hit, especially at low levels. And, if the character wanted to be a spellcaster this would probably seldom come into play unless things went very bad for the party...

Could use a slaymate from Libris Mortis. Think undead doll...kinda like Chucky.

Get it? Playmate -> Slaymate? Yeah...it's not funny.
