Isn't froggy scraping up his back pretty good?

5-foot step to 20N40E, fire, and reload.

I am going to keep taking 5-foot steps NE, firing, and reloading. Maybe time compression is the way to go.

Time compression mode is on.

After three more rounds, the zenythri falls. He took an arrow for 3 points of damage and resisted the poison, but then took another arrow for 4 points of damage. He missed with his crossbow the whole time.

Round 49:

The zenythri is defeated!

Next up for LN: a homunculus (MM)

The homunculus enters the arena at 115N0E and starts flying. If it can use the run action while flying into the arena, it enters froggie's square at just above ground level. If not, it flies ten feet up to 115N40E and executes total defense.

Round 49

The homunculus enter the o'bati's square.

The o'bati bites the homunculus with an AoO! (Rolled 21) 3 points of damage! The homunculus has 8 hp left.

The o'bati takes a 5 foot step to 110N115E and fires a poison arrow. Missed! (Rolled 9)

Move into the o'bati's square and attempt a bite. My plan is to keep moving into the o'bati's square to bite. If the o'bati is going to keep backing up and firing arrows, time compression is the way to go.

Time compression on.

The homunculus can position itself in round 53. It is still in the same square 110N115E.

The homunculus has 5 hp left and has resisted two applications of the poison.

The synopsis of the battle -

The homunculus was hit by an AoO bite but put froggy to sleep. Then it disabled it with a coup de grace. Froggy missed with a dying bite.

It is convenient that hobgoblin and homonculus are one page away.

Homonculus eagerly awaits what comes next. If it goes first, it will fly up twenty feet to square 60N110E.

Round 53

The homunculus flies to 60N110E.

A strange creature enters at 60N115E. It is spherical, 1 foot in diameter, with gray, rubbery skin and several eyes. Extending from its body are two 15 foot long tentacles, each ending in two pointed tips. One of the tentacles is coiled underneath its body and the creature enters the arena with a pogo-like spring.

As soon as it enters the arena, the creature shoots into the air as high as it can and extends its tentacles towards the homunculus with a whip-like crack.

It jumps 14 high, ends its move in mid-air, and hits with one of its tentacles. (Rolled 10 & 17)

The tentacle's tip does 1 point of damage and holds on. The homunculus has 4 hp left.

A stinger comes out of the tentacle tip and injects poison. The homunculus succumbs to the poison! (Rolled natural 1 Fort save) The poison does 1 point of strength damage and 2 points of dexterity damage. The homunculus has 7 strength and 13 dexterity, and it is stunned!

Whew!

Round 54:

The homunculus takes no action!

The whipsting drops down to the ground, pulling the homunculus down 5 feet. It attacks with its free tentacle and hits! (Rolled natural 20, 3 crit roll)

The homunculus takes 1 point of damage and has 3 hp left. The tentacle latches on and the homunculus cannot resist the poison! (Rolled 10 Fort save) The poison does 2 Str and 1 Dex.

The homunculus has 5 Str, 12 Dex and is stunned!

Round 55:

The homunculus takes no action!

The whipsting attacks with its attached tentacles. Both miss! (Rolled 6-4 for grappling = 2 & 7-4 = 3)

The poor homunculus can do something in round 56. Please kill this thing, I beg you!
