LN vs. N: Lawful Neutral Victorious!

OOC: I am assuming the queen cannot spontaneously cast SNA spells, but let me know if I am wrong.

Queen Verda Buzzanix flies into the arena at 115N0E, and flies straight up to 115N0E75Z.

Round 595

OOC: I allowed it for the Firre Eladrin, but researching it further I believe I was wrong in that case. Monsters that cast spells "as a [insert class here]" do not get any other "class abilities" such as gaining a familiar and, I presume, spontaneous casting.

The scorpion moves to 60N30E and waits.

Queen Verda starts casting a spell.

Assuming the scorpion just sits there and waits, at the beginning of next round, one of the biggest birds anyone has ever seen (a roc, using SNA VIII) appears at 80N40E. Before it acts, it gets even bigger (animal growth), then takes a full attack on the scorpion.

Round 598: The roc hits all three times (lowest roll 27+3 for AG) for a total of 54 plus 21 for AG = 75 points of damage. The scorpion has 179 hp.

The scorpion was patiently waiting for its favorite meal - bee, but now it will settle for chicken. It hits three times (lowest roll 38) for a total of 51-30 = 21. The roc has 227 hp left, but succumbs to the scorpion's poison! (Rolled 25+6 for AG = 31 Fort save) It takes 3 Con damage and has 25 Con and 191 hp left.

Queen Verda flies over to 110N60E75Z, then straight down (sort of) to 115N60E25Z (or just above the roc if that would bump into the roc), then casts delay poison on the roc in case the overgrown arthropod tries to poison it again. The roc takes another full attack.

Round 599

OOC: 30Z should be close enough to touch the roc.

The roc hits three times (lowest roll 25+3 for AG) for 50 plus 23 for AG = 73 total. The scorpion has 106 hp left.

The scorpion hits three times, but does no damage with its stinger and does 36-20=16 with its claws. The roc has 175 hp left.
