Logic Questions

You guys are getting these faster than I can get the questions out of the box. And I am a slow typist to boot.

Clem & Joe work in a coal mine. At the end of the day, Clem & Joe come out of the mine and bid each other farewell for the night. Clem's face is dirty and Joe's face is clean. As Clem and Joe set out for home, Joe wipes his face and Clem does not. Since both men appreciate cleanliness, why doesn't Clem clean his face?

Well, I think "wrong" might be a little harsh. The original question asked "how many extra candles could you make", which I find indistinguishable from "how many total additional candles can be obtained". As an attorney, however, I am perfectly prepared to make an argument going the other way!

Perhaps you could address the "It says nothing about having extra wicks" argument? :)

Clem seeing Joe's face thinks his is clean but Joe seeing Clem's face thinks his is dirty. "Guilty by association"

Are you reading the answers off of the cards? That is nearly the exact phrasing used in the game.

Here are two new ones

1. "therein lies the secret," said Scheming Suzie. "For you see, there is a seven-letter word in the English language that contains ten words without rearranging any of its letters." What is the word?

2. You throw away the outside and cook the inside. then you eat the outside and throw away the insid. What did you eat?

Both of these took me some time to answer.

The outside of the inside of something... ;)

1. therein?
edit: 2. a chicken?

Wow, great. The first one was easy but that second one was rather hard. Of course that could go with any animal so I don't see why a chicken is that special.

So my vote is Cornish Game Hen.

Ooooo yeah! I need to get some lunch going. I hereby switch my guess to DD's suggestion.

You just ate corn on the cob. (The original "outside" being the husk).
With my Cornish Game Hen. I am heading to the kitchen now for sure.
