I'm interested though I haven't been to one before so I have no idea what's involved , plus I might be a little snowed under preparing for my first year at uni, one day shouldn't be too bad though.

Can I ask what's involved in a games day just so I know...

Well, it's up to randomling to a certain extent, but I'm guessing what we are basically planning is simply to see how many people are likely to turn up, and then run some games for them!

We currently are thinking of some sort of Planescape game, and I'm quite like to take a shot at a Mutants And Masterminds game. If anyone else is willing to volunteer to do any DMing, that would be great.

mmm, looks like me and the missus are attending a con in edinburough from 5 till 7 sept. Ill have to find out if we can slowly move down to london in a week to attend this event as well

Um..... I have a vision of something with a sword involved. (I figure, D&D, swords, they go together.) Is that anywhere near enough?!

As for what the day itself is likely to involve: Tallarn is on it! Once we have a date and venue confirmed and a fair idea of numbers, we'll talk about games. It looks like we're going to end up in the function room of a pub, so it's probably not going to start until 11am or so (in tune with opening times). On the upside though, we can stay quite late!

I'm also thinking about raffling off some of the prizes (should we get enough) and hopefully raising a few quid for charity that way. Might as well do something for a good cause at the same time, eh?

Takei: no, I hadn't heard of that! We have Dragonmeet too. But this should be fun!
