Lone Wolf Game Books back in print!

I was a Fighting Fantasy fan back in the day, and never played Lone Wolf, but the hardcover Flight From the Dark looks impossible for me to pass up. (I'm very sad that I've managed to miss every hardcover special edition of the Fighting Fantasy books and the FF Fest dice and pencils.)

So, the first two Magnakai books have arrived! Not only is Gary Chalk's artwork once more in the books, they come with an attractive dustsheet that doubles as a full-colour map and even a fancy bookmark.

(Also featured are some of the earlier hardbacks.)

Oooh that looks good!

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but books 19 and 20 were already printed as collectors edition almost a decade ago...so these are a different, new, version of a collectors edition?

With the same illustrations as the Definitive editions (which came out at the same time) but with a slightly different format?

Nice! Too bad they missed lockdown, that would have probably be a good moment for them...
They released a few 3rd party written ones during lockdown. A buddy of mine wrote for them.
Plus, one of them was adapted to a Switch title... bloody hard, that one.
I've never played/read them other than the switch one.

I'm surprised Gavyn didn't mention this during game last week.

The collectors edition line stalled I think; someone else was publishing them.

The new series are the Definitive Editions and published directly by Holmgard Press (Ben Devere’s company).

The Collectors' Editions stalled twice, firstly under Mongoose and then under Mantikore-Verlag.

Holmgard Press then took back up the baton and have been steadily finishing the Collectors' Editions (including the first ever editions of 29-31), whilst also printing the brand new Definitive Editions (now up to book 20).
