Underdark Fey varieties would be a very interesting concept. If the elves went under, why not fey?
Evil little fey that inhabit the lichen and mushroom forests of the underdark.
Ideas:
Shadow Fey: Inky black sprites that compete with mites for space.
Grey Fey: Little brownie like creatures that live amongst the mushroom forests.
Duerfey: Small, greyish skinned fey that carve twisted, yet hauntingly beautiful communities within the deep caverns of the world. They are they bane of Deep Gnomes, who often dig too close to their secluded communities in search of precious stones.
Dahkmuern: Unseelie fey that dwell near the Drow. Scavenging through the rubbish, and the unfortunate exiles. They are cowards, but have been known to put up stiff resistance when their communities are intruded upon.
They little pixie like creatures live much like the Drow, and are even rumored to worship Lolth!
