So, I'm rather a new DM, and I have a larger groupe of people, 5-9, and I was wondering what to do with them. I have played d&d for years, but not as the dm. any suggestions?

It actually might not be all too bad, I have a fiend/DM that will most likly take the dming of my hands so that i can Play and help all of the new people. Just aboute half of them.:p

I kinda hope he starts another tho, this one is really complicated, and if i start in, I may wind up as the Under-dog. (a victum of my own creation.:( )

Start small and simple. Use few books like just the core ones for their characters. Start off with a low level module if you have one. It will easier to prepa module then create an adventure yourself.

Yea, I see what your sayin'. My dm is goin' to take over, and I will wind up killing them all as an astral diva, just for kicks. But then we get down to the good stuff. Have you ever noticed that It just isn't fun to creat a guy that's already level 30. It makes it more valuble when you have to work for years to get him there.

Don't deliberately kill them all. It will just make them all want your character to die when you try to play. With there being at least 8 others, that is far to many people for you to keep an eye on. ;)

Okay, I looked at this thread, and noticed...

The DM is a fiend? Great! Is he going for a TPK? ;)

So you're going to play an opera singer from the astral plane? Is that part of the story? I guess "your DM" has scripted out something. Why would you have people play in a game and then get killed? Is an Underdog a race in your campaign world?

I've never noticed that it isn't fun to create a guy that's already level 30. Then again if everyone is going to get killed off by a diva then I suppose that it doesn't matter what level you are.
