Looking for 3.5 game allowing psionics

Hi all, semi-new to these boards. I've played quite a number of forum campaigns and am looking for one round abouts here as well (and if this isn't the right place to ask feel free to move me)

What I am looking for in a game:

#1. Heavy on the RP. I don't mind battles or puzzles in the slightest, but I like a good deal of interaction, RP and storyline to games. All my characters have a background story of several pages on average.

#2. Psionics. I'd like to play a psionic class.

#3. I prefer any 3.5 edition non-modern (err, no anime either).

#4. A DM that isn't afraid for his players to do odd things and try new ideas. I will never set out to ruin a game or anything, and will play my character to the hilt, but I have agravated several DM's by unintentionally ruining their plans. Was even banned from a game once for being, and I'll use more polite language, 'a smart donkey' by foiling his attempts to herd us 1st-level players via a werewolf chase. I wrapped some meat around a nugget of alchemical silver and tossed it to the wolf who gulped it down before turning on us. The DM, pressured by the other players that the trick should kill the thing, I was kicked out. DM's like that need to be swallowed by a tarasque.

Anything like this needing players roundabouts? :)

Well, I have been considering running a simple D&D 3.5 game. Now that you ask, I could finally get tempted to do it:

- Books allowed: PHB 3.5, X-Psi 3.5, Unearthed Arcana, and Arcana Unearthed. I could allow other books, but will need one sends me the class description.

- Campaign setting: a medieval empire with a culture vaguely similar to Tzarish Russia, but populated only with... goblinoids! It's the hobgoblin empire, where hobgoblin are the ruling elite of warriors, while goblins toil as near slaves. In the north and the forests, the bugbears are savage people difficult to tame, but belong to the empire nonetheless (think Scotland highlanders vs England in medieval times).

- Characters must be either goblin, hobgoblin, or bugbear. I would like to see the following characters (begin probably at 8th level):
1) Bugbear with Warrior Totem-bear (obviously) class. Arcana Unearthed by Monte Cook.
2) Goblin, blue, psionic-user.
3) Hobgoblin Paladin of Tyranny (LE), given a few tweaks. Unearthed Arcana paladin variant.

All these are outcasts and outlaws in the empire. The paladin killed his baron master to get his demon armor and sword, rather than let the master give it to his son. Of course the paladin is now hunted, but nonetheless plans to kill the son and become the new baron by force. The blue goblin is hunted because he developed "magical" powers of his own while he has no right as a simple goblin; magic is only authorized to certain hobgoblin within the Church, etc.; and the bugbear I don't know yet, but want something special and funny. Then two other players with like characters would be allowed too.

I am willing to run this game is some players agree to create the characters above.

Tribble, ye can check out my Mythar Invasion game, I could perhaps at some point pop in another character.

The rules are D&D 3.5, psionics only (except elves who have some divine magic), and some modifications from Unearthed Arcana and slightly altered races. The link to the OOC thread is in my sig, I don't remember exactly where the posts for character creation info is, but it should be the first couple of pages.

I'd love to play but unfortunately I don't have either AU or UA and Vorpal Tribble wants the goblin. I'll play the bugbear if you give me the Totem Warrior stats though...

Absolutely no problem. I will send you the class and the race (slightly modified, because the normal bugbear is not very exciting as a PC race); I mean: provided more people are interested in this evil-brigand light-hearted game. Also, you would have to provide a short but funny background, as why this character is wanted by the authorities. So right now, there would be one player interested (to play the bugbear).

Oh man... Turanil, you have to get ahold of Brother Shatterstone for your game, he loves bugbears!

I do indeed. :)

Well there is a small typo in the MM 3.5 The bugbear PC should have the scent ability, but besides that the bugbear is a very interesting race, :D it just happens to be underutilized. :(

Well Tonguez already has the bugbear and to be honest I'm not sure how good I would be at light-hearted evil, I could write a funny background, or well at least funny to him but alas probably not to the rest of the folks... :o

So no need to worry about me and this game. :)

There can be another bugbear because I have set the limit to 5 players, and only three are determined.

Light-hearted: I don't know if i use the word properly. What I want to do is a campaign of evil PCs in an evil world (no good dwarves, elves, or humans will be ever encountered). When I say light-hearted, it is because I envision something like Cugel of Jack Vance, but less weird and more medieval, and also more evil. But in the end it is fun, even if the characters are serious and we don't tell bad puns and the like. I see it something with a heavy dose of role-playing, with actual battles resolved quickly (I roll most dice, and players come up with colorful descriptions).

That all seems reasonable to me... :) Can you email me the bugbear's stats? :)
