Looking for a 1st Level dungeon crawl

Of Sound Mind was the most rewarding low-level adventure I've ever played. It's got it all- roleplaying, dungeon-crawling, town adventure, problem-solving- it's fantastic!

Keep on the Borderlands is still the all-time best low-level dungeon crawl ever, IMO. Though it's more of a mini-campaign than a 2 or 3 session game.

d20 dwarf must have sleepwalked his way through sunless citadel. you can definately finish it in 3 sessions. I cant imagine what youd do with 15 sessions (60 hours) of roleplaying time in there.

If your party is pure L1 pcs, you may want to beef them up a tad with say a few potions of healing or a 2nd level npc fighter just so they have a little more stamina in there and dont have to keep leaving to heal up etc

Well, i think that i must say thank you !
All, you give a sense to the word community.

I will check these adventures through reviews and read some.
Dont like psionics but Of Sound Mind seems a good one. And i might be able to convert it.

So, thanks again for your help !

PS : Wil, you don't have an adventure to suggest ... for Midnight ? :)

No no no!

Allow me to be the voice of reason here.

For DM training, I would recommend the Hamlet of Thumble, but I don't think that's a dungeon crawl.

And so I fall back on another ENworld favorite: Of Sound Mind.

Great adventure, dungeon-crawly, plenty of opportunity to think and roleplay, and best of all, the author is ENworld's own Piratecat-- so you can get help and feedback direct from the author right here.

"The Hamlet of Thumble" is a burrow crawl, I guess you could say. It's pretty short, but you also get a fully-detailed settlement and lots of great DM Tips, new rules, classes, etc. It's both a Hot Seller and Best Seller at RPG Shop:

You know, I'm ashamed to say it, but I have to check out Piratecat's "Of Sound Mind". I've heard so many great things about it and Piratecat is a swell guy. I guess I haven't yet because I'm not that into psionics, but being an avid module collector, I'm definitely going to have to get it.

Piratecat includes notes in the adventure for converting it to non-psionic.

BTW, welcome to ENworld arnoo!

It takes almost zero effort to play this module without psionics. I would do a quick SRD search for the relevant psionic powers listed for the monsters (I can only recall needing 2 or 3 powers at most), let them use them at will as a spell-like ability, treat them in all ways otherwise as magic, and you're done.

Or just change all the psionic powers to spells flat out.

Honestly, it's no trouble at all.

OSM contains notes on using it in a non-psionics campaing. Of course, PC (and a number of other posters who have run the mod) would be happy to post more tips.

There have been a number of 'Of Sound Mind' threads over the years here as well.
