I'm looking for a computer program to handle the administration of my AD&D 2nd edition character.
The programs I have been able to find lack in the following, to me important functionality:
1. They don't allow direct atribute entry, and require computer generated dice rolls.
Since I already have a character, I don't need to go through that process. And even if I didn't, I prefer to roll real dice.
2. Some don't allow multiclass.
My character is a Rogue/Mage, and I would like to be able to enter just that.
3. Some don't support anything beyond lvl 1.
My character is now lvl Mage7/Rogue8. I need to be able to see the various options my character has at that lvl (like weapon proficiencies, non-weapon proficiencies, thief skills, spells allowed, saving throws, etc.)
4. They don't generate pdf output.
Some don't generate anything even remotely like a character sheet at all.
Maybe I've become spoilt by the 3.5 character generator/adminstrator tools like PCGen.
Maybe the 3.5 generators are better because of the progress in software development in the last 10 years.
Maybe the 3.5 generators are better because of the OGL, keeping away the threat of TSR/wotc lawyers when writing them.
Bottom line: does anyone have (a reference to) a GOOD AD&D 2nd edition character administrator?
